What is Juneteenth and why do we celebrate it?

Juneteenth marks the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the United States. It is a day to celebrate freedom, heritage, and the ongoing journey towards equality.

When and where is the event taking place?

The EBC Juneteenth celebration will be held on June 14th. The event takes place at Elizabeth Baptist Church – Atlanta Campus |  4245 Cascade Rd SW, South Fulton, GA 30331

What’s the best way to get to the event?

Even though off-site parking will be available, we recommend using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft for the most convenient experience. Rideshare reduces traffic, shortens your walk, and offers easy access with a designated drop-off and pick-up area near the main entrance.

What activities are planned for the day?

Our event features live music performances, cultural exhibits, food stalls, children’s activities, and more. There’s something for everyone!

Can I bring alcohol, firearms, or drugs to the event?

No. For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, smoking, vaping, alcohol, firearms, and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at the Juneteenth Freedom Celebration. Security will be present to enforce this policy

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

While we have a variety of food vendors on-site, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely! We have activities and entertainment suitable for all ages, making it a perfect outing for families.

Am I allowed to bring a tent or Umbrella?

We kindly ask that attendees do not bring tents or umbrellas, as they may obstruct views or walkways. Shade will be available in designated areas throughout the event space for our seniors.

What should I bring to the event?

Bring sunscreen, a hat, comfortable seating, and your enthusiasm for a day of celebration and learning.
